1. The platform’s role
AutoVouch provides listing and enquiry tools. Unless a separate transaction expressly identifies AutoVouch as the seller, the vehicle sale is between the stated seller and buyer. We do not take vehicle purchase payments, offer escrow, guarantee a seller, provide finance approval or promise buyer purchase protection. Inspection services are separately quoted.
Moderation checks listing content against platform rules. It is not a physical vehicle inspection, proof of ownership, criminal-history check or guarantee of accuracy. Email verification means control of an email address only.
2. Seller eligibility and truthful information
You must be at least 18, own the vehicle or be authorised to offer it, and use an email address you control. Select your actual private or business seller status. A label does not determine which laws apply to your activities. Businesses must provide required supplier disclosures and comply with their legal obligations.
Use current, accurate details and photographs of the actual vehicle. Disclose material known faults, damage, repairs, modifications, finance or title restrictions, mileage uncertainty and compulsory seller charges. Do not impersonate a dealer, misstate a partnership, advertise unavailable stock or invent inspection claims.
3. Listing management
Drafts are private. Submitted listings require moderation before publication; substantial edits return for review. AutoVouch may request changes, refuse or remove misleading, unlawful, unsafe, duplicated or unauthorised content. We may restrict abuse and preserve evidence where reasonably required. Ask for review through the published contact if you believe a decision is mistaken.
Keep your listing current and mark a vehicle sold or withdraw it promptly when unavailable. No paid listing package is charged through this release. Any future fee must be disclosed and accepted before chargeable work begins.
4. Content permission
You retain your rights in uploaded content and give AutoVouch permission to store, resize and display it for your listing and related marketplace operation. You confirm you have the necessary rights and permissions. This permission ends when the content is removed, subject to reasonable backups, legal retention and records already lawfully shared.
Do not upload identity documents, bank details, home addresses, unrelated people or content you are not entitled to use. Photograph the actual vehicle clearly. The service processes photos for display; you remain responsible for checking images before publication.
5. Buyers and enquiries
Verify seller identity, authority, ownership, finance settlement arrangements, vehicle identity and condition independently. An asking price is not an accepted sale. Agree all sale terms directly and obtain appropriate professional help where needed. A private sale and a sale in the ordinary course of business may carry different obligations; no platform statement removes applicable rights.
An enquiry shares the details you authorise with that seller. Use them only to respond to the relevant vehicle enquiry, keep them secure and do not add the person to marketing lists without a lawful basis. Report suspected misuse.
6. Inspection wording and reports
“Inspection available” means an inspection may be requested subject to permission, availability and quote. It does not mean already inspected, approved, roadworthy or warranted. Only use a genuine report for the correct vehicle and date, without removing findings or limitations. Demonstration stock is explicitly fictional and cannot be bought.
7. Prohibited activity and safety
No scams, stolen stock, unlawful discrimination, harassment, malware, spam, scraped third-party stock without permission or attempts to bypass account or moderation controls. Never send vehicle payments to someone claiming AutoVouch holds them securely. Read the safety guide and report concerns.
8. Liability, privacy and disputes
We are responsible for our own legally actionable conduct. Sellers are responsible for their content and sales, and buyers for their own checks. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or every third-party statement. Nothing in these terms excludes non-excludable liability, applicable consumer rights or liability whose exclusion is prohibited by law.
See the privacy notice for account and enquiry data. Contact us about platform concerns; vehicle-contract disputes should also be raised with the seller and relevant consumer channels. South African law applies subject to mandatory protections.
Keep a copy of the terms and quotation that apply to your booking. Updates apply prospectively; they do not remove rights attached to an existing agreement.
