A little clarity
Good questions.
Straight answers.
Everything starts with an agreed scope and accurate information. Here are the questions worth asking.
Inspections
What does the R495 Essential Check include?
A focused visual visit, condition photographs and a concise summary of accessible areas. It excludes diagnostics, mechanical tests, road testing and roadworthy testing. Travel and additional work are separately agreed.
Can you inspect at a dealer or private seller?
Yes, subject to their permission, safe access, keys and appointment availability. The vehicle must be accessible at the agreed location. Tell us about access restrictions before booking.
Does a clean scan mean the car is fault-free?
No. Compatibility varies, codes can be historical or cleared, and not every mechanical fault generates a code. Further diagnosis may be needed. We record the scan scope and limitations.
Do you lift or dismantle the vehicle?
No dismantling is included. Hoist access, wheel removal, compression testing, specialist equipment and invasive testing are not part of the standard mobile inspection.
Is a road test guaranteed?
Only where included in the agreed package and safe, lawful, authorised and practical. An unsafe vehicle, restricted route, insurance issue or refusal of consent may prevent it. We record the limitation and discuss any resulting scope change.
Can an inspection replace a roadworthy certificate?
No. Statutory roadworthy testing takes place at an authorised testing station. Arranging a test may become an optional separate service; it is not included in these packages.
Are the prices final?
Displayed prices are indicative starting points. Your written quotation confirms the selected scope, travel, tax treatment, any compulsory charges and the full total before acceptance. A request does not confirm an appointment.
What if I need to cancel or the service is unsatisfactory?
Contact us promptly with your reference. Any cancellation charge must be reasonable and consistent with applicable law. Eligible cooling-off and service-quality rights remain available. Read our cancellations and remedies page for the detail.
Marketplace & selling
Are the showcase vehicles real stock?
No. Every demonstration listing is labelled. Images are generated and prices, specifications and locations are fictional examples. No actual seller or vehicle is offered through those listings.
Does “inspection available” mean already inspected?
No. It means an inspection can be requested, subject to permission, access and a quote. It is not a pass badge, warranty, seller endorsement or roadworthy statement.
How does an email sign-in link work?
Request a link, open it within 15 minutes and confirm sign-in on the site. The link can be used once. A secure session then keeps you signed in. Never forward a sign-in link. Email verification confirms mailbox control only.
Who can upload stock?
An adult owner or authorised seller. Private and business sellers must state their status accurately and have rights to the photos and descriptions. Listings are moderated before publication. No dealer partnership is implied.
Does AutoVouch handle payment for the car?
No. There is no escrow, vehicle checkout or purchase-protection service. Verify the vehicle, seller, ownership, finance and bank details independently before any payment.
How do I report a concern?
Use Report listing on a vehicle page or choose Marketplace concern on the contact page. Include the listing link and a factual description. Do not send ID documents or bank details through the form.
